A first-person history of a “third act”

“You must be the change you wish to see in the world.”  Mahatma Gandhi

“We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard.” John Fitzgerald Kennedy

“He who says that it can not be done, should not interrupt the person doing it.” Chinese proverb

Peace greetings

truman Capote    “Life is a moderately good play with a badly written third act.”Truman Capote

If Truman Capote had studied biology, he would have known that we have all been marching into that good night all of our days. [any lines separating parts  into acts is artificial] We are all on the same train, getting off at various times.  “How you spend your days, is how you spend your life.”  Anne Dillard

Your play is on now! Enter stage left.  The third act is an essential part of the play.

The Third Act: DO NOT GO GENTLE INTO THAT GOOD NIGHT

dyland thomas

Dylan Thomas —

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rage at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.
Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dyig of the light..

I was raised in a strong tradition by grand parents and parents to make a gift to your friends at Christmas time. It is bigger than religions [atheist are people too].

Here is my Christmas gift to all my new found friends on the blogosphere: My selected, distilled, posts of 2015, My TEN for December publication.

Thank you! Following now and will check them out. I’ve been planning to do a 10 best of my blog from this year. Of course that is difficult because people have such widely differing taste in art, so I can only do my own favorites. Thank you for following my art blog.

I suggest that you choose the 1o that you think should be covered in an academic class; I know I would like to see as ales son. Charles

Thank you for this Christmas gift, KK!

In fact it’s not one single gift but ten separate ones.

BTW, I also like your statement that “atheist are people too”.

Not many seem to think of us atheists in that way.
