Wow! There are both new blog posts and new comments to comment. Don’t even know where to start.
This time (i.e. this evening according to European time; we are six hours ahead of you in the U.S EDT zone) I decided to visit your interesting blog just to have a look at what’s new.
Here’s my first observation: The number of followers of your blog is steadily growing from day to day, Kung Karl! And that’s a very good token! At least for me, It indicates that people obviously like a high standard of culture. It’s hard to imagine that cultivated and educated people would be prone to go to war. On the contrary.
Your mission, dear Karl, seems to be building connections between people from all over the world, not burning or tearing any existing uniting bridges down. An honorable mission, indeed! Your guiding star is coupled to CONSTRUCTIVENESS, not DESTRUCTIVENESS. If more people were like you, there would be more harmony, concord and agreement and less disharmony, discord and disagreement in the world. That is, less hostility, less conflicts.
Or, in other words, humbleness is a key word to use to describe your manners! That’s why you are worthy of respect.

With that said, Kung Karl, I come to my real errand. I want to share some links with you and your readers/followers in order to trying to create a festive atmosphere here and now.

Horrible but also, at the same time, an interesting and good read. Who needs a brain to survive and live on? *YECs are another good example of how living is possible without using any brain power at all*
Talking of brain and mind, have a look at this video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ir8XITVmeY4 . A very good summary of what we today know – and don’t know – about our minds and brains. A highly recommendable video, in which many interesting quetions are discussed. For example what happens when a special part of the brain, called the claustrum, is stimulated or inhibited. Is the claustrum a kind of switch for our consciousness?

In the right hands and mouths a saxophone really can be turned to a wonderful music instrument.
Your son Steven knows how to use, handle and play a saxophone. To listen to Steven is like seeing a lion-tamer in action. A kind of interplay in which both man and animal/instrument work together to create miraculous things. It’s like the fundamental theory in Gestalt therapy, in which one emphasizes that the whole of anything always is greater than its constituent parts.
In short, LOVELY and very ENJOYABLE music!

It’s about what happens if your brain is primed and brainwashed, from an early age, perhaps without your knowing or understanding it. Anyhow, the article shows kind of a clash of civilizations.
There is indeed a need of building bridges and enhance the understanding of each other.
Here’s a Swedish saying: The pen is stronger/mightier than the sword. Maybe you have the same saying in the US?
Anyhow, more and better education is the cornerstone that helps us building bridges and making peace.
Weapons are for those who fear their neighbors.
So, please, keep on writing and educating, KK, thereby showing you’re a suave man, worthy of imitation.
Making clocks like Ahmed Mohamed in Texas did is OK (see http://www.vox.com/2015/9/16/9336557/ahmed-mohamed-clock-school ). But making weapons, no, that is not the solution of the problems we are facing in today’s world.
I hope that Ahmed some day can join you in your bridge building for better understanding and a more peaceful world, KK!
